The Wadstena Fogelsta Railway museum association

The Wadstena Fogelsta Railway museum association

The WFJ museum association, was founded in 1974 to preserve the little that is left of Östergötland’s narrow gauge rail network. Today,  out of the original 450 kilometer (280 miles), only the 9.6km (6 miles) long Vadstena-Fågelsta stretch remains. The line is owned by Vadstena municipality and the Wadstena Fogelsta Järnväg museum association leases it.

The association has two steam locomotives, a rail bus, several diesel locomotives and a number of passenger carriages and goods wagons of various representative types. The association is also equipped with machines for track and vehicle maintenance.

The association consists of just over 200 members, and we are glad to welcome more.
If you want to become a member, write an email to info@wfj.se, including name and address and a telephone number if you also want. And we will contact you.

If you would like to give a donation to help us in our work to preserve this unique environment and railway, we are grateful for any size of gift. Contact us on info@wfj.se.
